The 6th National Cell & Gene Therapy Conference, held in conjunction with the Heritable Human Genome Editing Conference, will take place from 27–29 October 2026 at Future Africa, University of Pretoria.
Bringing together researchers, clinicians, industry partners, regulators and policymakers, the three-day conference will explore developments across the cell and gene therapy pipeline—from scientific discovery and preclinical research to clinical application, regulation and patient access.
The programme will focus on Hereditary Human Genome Editing, Basic Science and Clinical Translation, with discussions guided by ethical, legal and social principles. Particular attention will be given to responsible innovation, equitable access and patient-centred care.
Abstract submissions are invited for the Basic Science and Clinical Translation sessions, with topics including gene therapy, cell-based therapies, immunotherapies, clinical trials, regenerative medicine, artificial intelligence, ethics and regulation.
Abstract submissions close on 6 August 2026, and conference registration closes on 17 August 2026.
Researchers, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders working in advanced therapies are encouraged to participate and contribute to meaningful dialogue and collaboration in this rapidly developing field.
